The mushroom of fairytales, myths & legend. This magical red and white fungus pops up in cultures all over northern Eurasia. From the shamans of Siberia, Grimm fairytales in Germany, some have even speculated it to be the source of mythical Soma - the drink of the gods in the ancient Indian Rig Veda. The Amanita or Fly-Agaric came to Tasmania in the roots of trees brought from Europe and has made a comfortable home here ever since! In this case, it would grow in enormous swathes amongst the pine trees in our paddock in Chudleigh.
We have carefully sealed the front and back of the image to ensure that it is water resistant. It will be OK if you get caught in the rain, but please avoid submerging it when swimming or bathing. Regular cleaning with a silver cloth will keep the ear-wires nice and shiny.
