Anyone who travels regularly between the north and south of Tasmania knows that the Tasmanian Midlands is a fascinating area. Full of rolling hills, sheep and some of the most spectacular sunsets and night skies anywhere. And if anyone has stopped on the way or ventured down a side road, they know another defining feature; near-total silence. I feel like this solitary Gum Tree, silhouetted against the setting sun encapsulates the feeling of stunning quietude.

• These earrings are designed using our original photograph of a gum tree, growing in the Tasmanian Midlands (Australia)
• Earrings are made from glass set into stainless steel. The hooks are stainless steel OR solid recycled silver, which are excellent for sensitive ears

We have carefully sealed the front and back of the image to ensure that it is water resistant. It will be OK if you get caught in the rain, but please avoid submerging it when swimming or bathing. Regular cleaning with a silver cloth will keep the ear-wires nice and shiny.
