A predominant feature of Port Arthur is the use of sandstone around the historic site. It was used to build the iconic church, hospital and of course, the prisons. It was also used to decorate the site such as this beautiful stone rosette. It clearly shows that the convict labour force certainly consisted of skilled artisans!
We have carefully sealed the front and back of the image to ensure that it is water resistant. It will be OK if you get caught in the rain, but please avoid submerging it when swimming or bathing. Regular cleaning with a silver cloth will keep the ear-wires nice and shiny.
